The Theory of Degenerative Dialog
I hypothesize that any topic of conversation exposed to a broad audience with little to no interest in a common well-being will, over time, degenerate into an elementary exchange of insults and close-mindedness. The rate of degeneration is proportional to the size and diversity of the audience as well as the degree of anonymity and/or lack of social or cultural ties.
